Bob and Sherry are very proud parents of two sons, John and Joshua, and one daughter, Shannon. They have been married for over 30 years and live in San Dimas, California. Bob and Sherry met during their college years at Azusa Pacific University where Bob played baseball and majored in Biblical Literature, while Sherry accumulated a double major in Psychology and Religion. Bob currently serves with Sherry as Senior Pastors for The Cause Community Church. They have traveled internationally speaking to large and small groups about marriage, family life, parenting and educational challenges.
Bob and Sherry are appreciated for their honest yet humorous approach to teaching. You will laugh and learn about yourself and your marriage as you participate in their teaching.

Bob spent ten years in ministry as a youth pastor and as a Youth for Christ/Campus Life Director. During that time, Bob obtained his Master’s Degree from Azusa Pacific University in Religion. After a three-year venture into securities and insurance sales, Bob returned to full-time ministry and joined the Faith Community Church staff as the Pastoral Counselor. He enrolled again in school and received a second Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate Institute. He is fully licensed by the state of California as a Marriage Family Child Counselor. As the church tripled in size, Bob grew into the position of Executive Pastor and coordinated all the ministry activities both directly and indirectly through staff.

Sherry graduated from Azusa Pacific University where she met and later married her husband Bob. They have been married for over 30 years. Their sons, John and his wife Jenny Josh and his wife Elisabeth, and their daughter Shannon are also currently serving with them at The Cause Community Church.
Sherry has her Masters of Art degree in Education and is an experienced teacher who ministers to both adults and children. She has written curriculum for pre-schoolers and elementary children and has worked with children who have various learning disabilities, behavior problems, and attention deficit disorders.
Sherry is a gifted, anointed, powerful teacher of the Word of God and is practical and humorous. Whether speaking alone or co-leading Marriage and Family Seminars with her husband Bob, Sherry is practical and insightful. She is a speaker to Women’s Groups and for church and family events throughout the country and she has spoken internationally.
* Sherry wrote, produced and co-hosted a local cable television program entitled, “Encouraging Word.” She also started a pre-school and elementary school.

John and his gorgeous wife, Jenny, have a beautiful daughter named Nevaeh who is the greatest joy of their lives. John received his M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and has been serving in full time ministry for over a decade. In addition to serving at the church, he loves spending time with his family, watching movies and sports, working out, reading, and enjoying delicious Mexican food. His heart is to see people meet Christ and live passionately for His Cause. In his role at the church, John oversees and leads The Movement Youth Ministry, Life Groups, and Life Care.

In junior high Pastor Chris began volunteering to run sound for the children's ministry. 16 years later he is still serving the Lord with the gifts and talents God has developed in him. Pastor Chris attend Citrus Community College where he received an Associates in Science degree in the area of Behavioral Sciences. While at Citrus College God rocked his world! His Mom had been fighting Breast Cancer for 11 years, and God finally called her home. This experience really deepened his heart and compassion for those who face though times, and has molded him into the man he is today. Of course he misses his mom, but he knows the Lord really is still on the throne!
After Citrus, he attended DeVry University where he received an Associates of Applied Science in Electronics and Computer Technology, and then went on to also achieve a Bachelor of Science in Technical Management with honors. He married his wife Lorraine in July of 2003, and has one son, Tyler, who was born April of 2006, and one Daughter named Sarah who was born April of 2008. While God has blessed him with the knowledge for technical things, it is the people that he has brought around Chris that truly make things happen. He loves working with other volunteers and seeing them grow and develop a hunger to know and serve God.

Dave Duran married his beautiful wife Connie in 1997. They have two amazing daughter’s, Madison and Carmel. Dave attended Mt. San Antonio College, prior to joining the retail management work force in 1993 where he took on a position as a store manager with a nationally recognized retailer. In 2001, Dave accepted his first ministry position as Children's Pastor, in Whittier, CA, working bi-vocationally. It was there where Dave’s passion for Children’s Ministry took off. With the support of his wife Connie, they launched a successful “Bus Ministry” that targeted at risk and low income areas of the community, and as a result, they saw hundreds of children come to know the Lord over their 3 years of ministry there.
In December of 2006, The Lord opened up the door for Dave to serve on staff full-time with The Cause Community Church. Passionately serving at The Cause with his wife Connie, Dave believes that children are significant today. His heart is to raise up a generation of children that will impact the world for Jesus now.

After studying as a classical pianist in his youth, Corey turned his attention to composition and applied to the Juilliard School in New York where he earned his Bachelor of Music in Composition in 1998. The following year, he received an Advanced Certificate in Scoring for Film and Television at the University of Southern California as a springboard towards working in Hollywood as a Film and TV composer. In the subsequent years, Corey toured with several national and international productions and musical groups. These experiences led him to believe that God had a higher calling on his life for ministry.
In 2001, Corey began serving as a music director. In 2004, when Pastors Bob and Sherry approached him to serve with them at The Cause, Corey knew that God was fulfilling His promises for the higher calling that He had placed his life.
In June of 2007, Corey married Kimberly Maffei, whom he met at The Cause when the church first started. Kimberly currently teaches English to freshmen and sophomores at South Hills High School in West Covina and serves as a vocalist on the main service worship team. Corey and Kimberly are very thankful for the marriage-friendly environment that The Cause promotes and love to serve together as husband and wife.

James Paek graduated from University of California Los Angeles with a B.A. in Communications and landed his dream job, serving at The Cause Community Church. James has a passion for songwriting, worship and a heart to see young people live out their lives to the fullest. He is excited to see what God has for The Cause Community Church and how God is going to use His people to impact this world.

Pastor Josh Reeve graduated from Azusa Pacific University with a B.A. in Business Administration and also completed his M.A. in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in 2006. He and his wife, Elisabeth, have been married for over two years and are passionate about expanding the kingdom of God through the local community as well as through worldwide missions. At The Cause Community Church, Pastor Josh oversees the business administration, finances and human resources, and he is passionate about maximizing the church's potential through effectively managing the resources God provides.
