Purposeof The Cause

“…for this reason I was born, and for this I came into the world, to testify to the truth.” John 18:37

Welcome to the Cause Community Church. We are so pleased that you want to know a little about us. The Cause is full of real people, completely in love with God, unconditionally loving His people, and passionately serving Him.

We are about connecting people to God and to one another under the direction of the Holy Spirit; growing while sharing life together; loving the Word of God and applying its principles to daily living; guiding and empowering others to walk as followers of Jesus; releasing each person’s creative contribution; establishing and supporting healthy individuals, relationships and families; and, partnering to impact the city, influence the region, touch the nation, and speak to the world.

What is the Cause? The Cause is described by the words of Isaiah: “…to preach good news to the poor, bind up the brokenhearted, proclaim freedom for captives, release from darkness for prisoners, proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor, comfort all who mourn, provide for those who grieve, bestow on them a crown of beauty so they will be called oaks of righteousness” (61:1-3).

We believe that a cause is a principle that people believe in and work for. A cause is more powerful than a vision because a cause lives on when a vision dies. There are countless examples of men and women who lived and died for the cause. The greatest of these examples is Jesus Christ.

Jesus came for us. He came to testify to the truth that is ultimately found in Him. The cause demands commitment and there is no greater example than the sacrifice Jesus paid so that we might have a restored relationship with Him. The cause didn’t lead Jesus to the cross; it kept Him there. The Church testifies to the truth by sharing the good news with others. It is an awesome privilege to serve God and share His love.

At the Cause Community Church, we live for the Cause of Christ. What cause are you living for?
